Cascadia Karting Cup: Unique Event in October

The Cascadia Karting Cup is a unique event that will take place from October 2 to 4 at the Pat’s Acres Racing Complex. This event, presented by Shinko Racing Kart Tires, promises to be a highlight for karting enthusiasts in the Pacific Northwest. The Canby, Oregon complex is known for its quality facilities. Additionally, this event will mark the end of the karting season with support from competitors, teams, and karting shops.

Cascadia Karting Cup: An Unmissable Event

FTK Promotions, led by Andy Seesemann, has extensive experience in organizing karting events. In fact, in 2021 and 2022, he already organized competitions at Pat’s Acres as part of the California ROK Championship. Therefore, he is well-acquainted with the specifics of this track and the local karting community.

“Pat’s Acres has a long history and is one of the most unique tracks in the United States,” said Andy Seesemann. “Since moving to the area, I have had many discussions with key players in the sport. We have numerous clubs and tracks, as well as a large number of drivers in the region. However, October is a quiet time on the calendar, and this event is a great opportunity to wrap up the karting season.”

Local Partnerships and Support

The Pat’s Acres Racing Complex is a multi-sport facility with a 6/10 mile karting track. In contrast, it collaborates with the Portland Karting Association to organize a 10-race program for the Oregon State Karting Championship. The last event was the Beaver Cup race in May, and the next will be the PARC night race on September 5.

“I am thrilled that drivers from the Northwest can participate in a special event like this,” said Chris Egger from the Pat’s Acres Racing Complex. “It’s a chance for drivers to experience a high level of professionalism through Andy’s organization and his FTK Promotions team.”

Strong Industry Support

Seesemann and FTK Promotions are moving forward with the event thanks to support from industry players based in the Pacific Northwest. Several teams and shops have already expressed their support for the Cascadia Karting Cup. For instance, Aaron Neliton from Neliton Race Concepts has been a strong supporter of karting events.

“We are very excited that Andy is organizing a race in our region,” he said. “There aren’t many well-organized races in the Pacific Northwest, and this event is particularly exciting for us.”

High Expectations for Drivers

Cameron Egger, owner of Sigra Race Development, is also enthusiastic about this event. “I cannot express how excited I am to have another opportunity to race at Pat’s Acres with the professionalism that Andy and his team bring,” he shared. Thus, “this historic track always offers great races and a family-friendly atmosphere.”

The karting teams in the region are ready to participate. Indeed, TCR Driver Development, a new operation based in Boise, Idaho, also plans to bring local talent to the regional stage. “We are looking forward to seeing how this event unfolds,” said Tyler Coffman, owner of TCR.

Expanded Race Schedule

  • PARC night race on September 5
  • Oregon State Karting Championship finale on October 25
  • Beaver Cup in May
  • Cascadia Karting Cup from October 2 to 4
  • Regular karting events throughout the year

Scott Cowell, owner of PGP Motorsports Park, is also excited to introduce drivers from his Kent, Washington facility to the atmosphere of FTK Promotions events. “The sprint race schedule in the Pacific Northwest ends quite early in the year. So, we are thrilled to have another quality event at the end of the season,” he stated.

Upcoming Information

Seesemann expressed his satisfaction with the growing support from teams and industry members in the region. “Once the news spreads and momentum builds, I expect many more teams and drivers from the Cascadia region will want to join us,” he added.
