Modernization of FFSA Tools for Karting

The modernization of FFSA tools is a major initiative aimed at improving the operations of sports associations and their license holders. The Board of Directors of the French Federation of Automobile Sport (FFSA) recently made several important decisions during its meeting on June 24. These measures aim to facilitate access to resources and optimize administrative procedures.

Projects for Sports Associations

The Board of Directors approved several innovative projects. These initiatives are designed to strengthen support for sports associations and their members. Among the key decisions are:

  • Creation of an “Organizer” application: This unique platform will facilitate the administrative management of events, from registrations to closure.
  • “Volunteer Management” application: A tool to digitize volunteer registrations and centralize their assignments.
  • Digital Technical Passport: This digitized system will improve vehicle traceability and simplify technical inspections.
  • Sports Associations House: A project aimed at opening the Federation’s headquarters to the public.
  • Newsletter: An initiative to keep associations informed about developments and opportunities.

Additionally, a national survey will be launched to gather the needs and suggestions of associations. This will allow services to be tailored accordingly.

Improvements to Sports Procedures

The Board of Directors also took steps to streamline administrative procedures. This includes a reform of the registration of Cups, Challenges, Trophies, and Series for 2027. This reform aims to clarify pricing and harmonize the calendar submission dates.

The calendar rights for the year 2027 have also been approved. Thus, organizers will have better visibility on associated costs. Furthermore, technical commissioners will be authorized to issue technical passports for the GT+ Group.

Evolution of Licenses and Regulations

The decisions made include regulatory adaptations to facilitate karting practice. For example, the regulations will be modified to allow “cecikarting,” aimed at visually impaired or blind individuals.

Moreover, the health questionnaire for the Leisure Karting TP will be removed. Instead, a questionnaire will be integrated for the National Auto Training and National Auto Training F4 licenses. This simplification aims to encourage more participants.

Affiliation and Governance

The Board of Directors approved the affiliation of a new sports association, ASK ESCALE 63, to the FFSA. This demonstrates the Federation’s commitment to supporting the development of local clubs.

Additionally, defamation complaints have been filed following public statements deemed harmful to the reputation of the FFSA. Procedures are underway to clarify these allegations.

Commitment to Drivers and Teams

The FFSA has also taken steps to enhance its support for drivers and teams. Indeed, license renewal seminars will be organized between November 7, 2026, and February 28, 2027. This will allow license holders to prepare effectively for the upcoming season.

Drivers will also benefit from new opportunities thanks to the extension of the Participation Title (TP) e-Sport to international competitions. This opens the door to greater recognition of talents in the field of karting.

Future Perspectives for Karting

With these new initiatives, the FFSA is committed to modernizing karting in France. The ongoing projects aim to make the practice more accessible and improve the experience for license holders. Thus, sports associations will be better equipped to meet the expectations of their members.

However, it is essential that every stakeholder in karting gets involved in these changes. This will ensure that the improvements made truly address the needs of drivers and teams.

The modernization of FFSA tools represents a crucial step for the development of karting in France. By facilitating access to resources and optimizing procedures, the FFSA demonstrates its commitment to motorsport. Drivers, teams, and sports associations can thus look to the future with confidence and enthusiasm.
